OUR FACULTY BIOLOGY DEPARTMENT STUDENTS' TÜBİTAK PROJECT WAS SUPPORTED
Our faculty's Biology Department 3rd year students Ece GÜLER, Çağlasu ÖZTÜRK and Sıla Fadime KUMÇUR's project titled "Effects of Trichoderma Species Isolated from Edirne Meriç Bridge Surroundings on Bioplastic Degradation" within the scope of TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Students Research Projects was awarded support on April 8, 2025. The project aims to examine the degradation effects of Trichoderma species to be isolated from soil samples around Edirne Meriç Bridge on bioplastics. In addition, it is planned to investigate the activities of these species in biological degradation processes. This study will provide important data for the environmental effects of bioplastics and the future use of environmentally friendly materials. The project, which will last 12 months, will be carried out under the supervision of our faculty's Biology Department faculty member Prof. Dr. Burhan ŞEN, and it is aimed that our students will make a significant contribution to the fields of sustainability and environmentally friendly material management with this project.
