WORLD MATHEMATICS DAY CELEBRATED

The Mathematics Department of our faculty held a World Mathematics Day celebration in the seminar hall on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 11:30 as the Mathematics Department and Mathematics Society. Following the opening speeches of the Mathematics Department Head Prof. Dr. Figen ÖKE, the Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Murat YURTCAN talked about the importance of such events that have become a tradition by mentioning how important mathematics is in basic sciences, technology and art.

The celebration event continued with the speech titled "A General View of Graph Theory" by Prof. Dr. Seçil ÇEKEN GÜNEŞ, a faculty member of the Mathematics Department, and then with the speech titled "A View of Mandala Art through the Eyes of Mathematics" by Retired Lecturer Filiz BAYAZ. The event ended after the presentation of thanks.
